2021 marks five years that I AM MENtality Youth Male Empowerment Project has been on the scene providing mentorship and turning Baltimore City male youth into leaders. Normally we would bring our team and community of support together for a night of celebration and fundraising but, due to COVID-19 we are taking the party online!
Love for our community is the fuel behind I AM MENtality. We know that far too many male youth in Baltimore are not standing on a foundation that is built for success. Far too many male youth in Baltimore are not getting the education that they need and they are lacking in family support. Far too many male youth struggle to develop life and professional skills. So, we are providing a loving atmosphere to develop young men and position them to become the next leaders and change makers. Executive Director Darren Rogers, the thought leader behind this growing organization, recently devoted himself full-time to focusing on sustaining the program for the years ahead. In an effort to broaden I AM MENtality’s reach and impact on Baltimore’s male youth, he recently entered a partnership with two other black-led organizations–B-360 and The Be. Org–to form Baltimore Legacy Builders Collective. Together ‘The Collective’ will provide over 100 hours of training, skill building and empowerment to 1300 youth and young adults in greater Baltimore.
Please help us celebrate 5 years of existence by supporting our For the Love of Baltimore campaign. With each year comes new goals and an expanded vision for the organization. This year the goal is to raise $30,000 for services that benefit the youth and families in our community. Click here to join the party!
