BALTIMORE (WBFF) A local organization was celebrating three years of empowering young men in Baltimore and giving them the tools they need to succeed, on Saturday evening.

On Saturday, the War Memorial in Downtown Baltimore hosted the non-profit’s annual fundraiser.

I am Mentality Youth Male Empowerment Project was formed in 2016 as a way to empower and mentor Baltimore City male youth, particularly those facing adverse circumstances,

The group serves nearly 100 boys and aims to build a safer and stronger Baltimore by investing in the young people.

Darren Rogers, Executive Director, says, “Baltimore is extremely tough, so we’re trying to get kids to fall in love with themselves and eliminate the crime and negative behavior and put them in a position be be successful.”

The event included a silent auction, raffle, cocktails, food and dancing.
